Welcome to the Pre-K Program…

A young boy in a black jacket is playing a game with green glass stones and numbered cards on a black tray in a classroom. In the background, several children are sitting on a mat, engaged in an activity.
Four children, dressed in winter clothing, exploring a snowy forest. One girl is standing and holding a clipboard, while the other three are crouched down, examining the ground or writing on clipboards.

I am four!

I love being silly and making people laugh. My language is growing quickly; I can speak in big sentences, tell stories, and have detailed conversations. I recognize letters and their sounds and have started to form simple words. My fine motor skills are strong, so I can cut with scissors, draw detailed pictures, and write letters. I can count to 100, name the numbers, and understand its quantities. I enjoy sorting, patterning, and comparing and contrasting things I see. I’m curious about science and love asking questions, experimenting, and exploring how things work. I express myself through art, using different materials and techniques to share my ideas. I’m also getting better at understanding my feelings, talking about them, following routines, and working with my friends to accomplish shared goals.
