Hi, my name is Marilyn Klein, and I am the Toddler teacher at the Zimmer School. I received my BA from Lesley University in early childhood/elementary education. I moved to New York City and taught Pre-Primary in an all boys private school for six years. While teaching in NYC, I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College and also got married in the interim to my husband, Jeffrey. I taught until the day before I delivered my son, Elie. We moved out to the suburbs of Edison, NJ in 1989. Three years later our family was complete with the addition of my daughter Cara. In 1995 my family and I moved to our new house in Warren, where we currently reside. I was a stay at home mom for 13 years; which I loved very much, but in 2002, I decided to return to my passion of teaching young children. I worked in a preschool teaching 3-4 year olds for 12 years until my husband and I relocated to Luxembourg, for my husband’s job. We thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout Europe every chance we got. I even got a chance to be a substitute teacher at the International School of Luxembourg. Now back in NJ for the last two years, I can’t wait to get back to my true passion of teaching young children full time. My adult children now both live in NYC. I love traveling, exercising, watching movies and plays; but most of all, getting together with my family. I’m looking forward to a very exciting year of working with your awe-inspiring two year olds!!!!
