Even as a child, Ashlee Jorell Johnson had a passion to nurture and care for young children, and spent 10 summers working as a camp counselor.

Originally intending to major in culinary arts, she attended Johnson and Wells, but soon realized her interest in working in early childhood, and pursued a CDA. She has since taught in infants and toddlers classrooms, and has been a child and family advocate for differently-abled children.

A talented artist, AJ has had her work showcased at Aljira Art Gallery and the Newark Museum. She brings this passion to her young students in the form of arts and creativity. She is a big sister, aunt and a godmother, and is thrilled to add Zimmer morah to her profile.
